My name is Marvia, and I started my nursing career in 2019. Over the past nine years, I have worked in several health care settings, including retirement, long-term care, and various hospital departments. Prior to starting my nursing career, I worked in many retail stores in several management positions. I currently work at St. Mary\s General Hospital in one of the medical departments where I assess, supervise and advocate for my patients, as well as collaborate with other members of the medical team to meet the complex needs of my patients. I also supervise and help train students and other medical assistants to expand their knowledge and support them in a variety of ways in their work.
