The distal radioulnar joint of the wrist helps in the rotation of the forearm plus, the distal ulnar surface also ensures the stability of the carpus. When the distal ulna gets fractured, the condition can affect the stability and movement of the wrist. Locking Distal Ulna Plate is intended to be used for the treatment of fractures in the distal ulna. It can also be used for osteotomies, nonunions, fusions, and replantation of small bone fragments, especially in the osteopenic bone. A few of the indications where this ulna plate is used are ulnar head fractures and comminuted extra-articular fractures of the ulnar neck. This plate is anatomically contoured to fit distal ulna while its low-profile design ensures reduced soft tissue irritation. It offers multiple screw options to accommodate different fracture patterns and ensure good stability.
Locking Distal Ulna Plate 2.7 mm is available in both stainless steel and titanium alloy configurations with 3, 4, & 5 holes. It has pointed hooks in the head and ensures good angular stability.
